Snowfall disrupts power, road connectivity in North Kashmir's Uri

Uri, Feb 28: Road connectivity and electricity in the Uri area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district have been severely affected due to snowfall, sources said.

According to reports, over a dozen villages have been disconnected from the tehsil headquarters in Uri. These villages include Churanda, Basgra, Sohura, Mothal, Soura, Silikote, Charunda, Batgran, Tilawari, Nawarunda, and Balkote.

Heavy snowfall in the upper reaches has also disrupted the power distribution system in the area, reports said.
