Snow, rainfall affect normal life in Pir Panjal region

Rajouri, Jan 5: Normal life was affected in Pir Panjal region due to light to moderate rainfall in plain areas and snowfall in upper reaches.

The inclement weather, which began early Sunday morning, led to a significant decline in temperature, forcing most people to stay indoors.

The rainfall and snowfall have rendered roads slippery and treacherous, making it difficult for commuters to venture out, locals said. They added that the region's economy, heavily reliant on daily activities, has also been severely impacted.

As the weather continues to worsen, residents have also been advised to exercise caution and remain indoors until the situation improves.
