Snake bites 14-year-old boy in Srinagar's Kursu Rajbagh

Srinagar, Aug 1: A 14-year-old boy was bitten by a snake on Wednesday evening in the Kursu Rajbagh area of Srinagar while he took his father's lunchbox out from their car.

With snake bites very rare in Kashmir especially in Srinagar, the incident sent shockwaves among the local population here.

Quoting local sources, news agency KNT reported that the boy identified as Aaman Nawaz was busy taking out his father’s lunch box from the car while he suddenly cried out in pain. His family rushed him to the nearest hospital, where doctors confirmed the snake bite.

"The boy was bitten on his leg, and doctors immediately administered anti-venom. He is currently under observation and stable,” one of the relatives of the victim said.
