SMC organises health camp for employees
Srinagar, Nov 13: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Thursday organised a comprehensive health camp at its head office, Karan Nagar, in collaboration with the Government Medical College (GMC) and SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.
The health camp was inaugurated by the Commissioner, SMC, Faz Lul Haseeb, and aimed at promoting employee health, preventive care, and overall wellness.
The camp, organised under the supervision of Health Officer, SMC, Dr Fauzia Habib, witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and staff across all wings of the Corporation.
A team of specialist doctors and skilled paramedical staff conducted detailed consultations, screenings, and health evaluations for the participants.
The Commissioner lauded Dr Fauzia Habib for her exemplary leadership and commitment, describing her as a dynamic and dedicated officer whose efforts significantly strengthen the corporation’s public health initiatives.
He emphasised that employee welfare remains a top priority for the administration and reaffirmed SMC’s resolve to continue organising similar health and wellness programmes to foster a culture of preventive healthcare across the city.
The camp was also attended by Administrator, Government Medical College, Muhammad Ashraf Hakak, besides senior officers of the Corporation, including Joint Commissioners, Executive Engineers, and the Chief Sanitation Officer, who availed themselves of the health check-up facilities.
