SMC, NLCO to launch 11th spring restoration at Anchar today

Srinagar, Feb 26: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) in collaboration with Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO) is organising the 11th spring restoration at Shalbaf Mohalla, Anchar, Soura on Thursday.

Chairman NLCO Manzoor Wangnoo said that the event would be inaugurated at 11:30 am on Thursday, February 27.

“We are committed to reviving Kashmir’s natural heritage in collaboration with stakeholders under Mission Ehsaas Phase 5. We must understand the importance of springs in the wake of prolonged dry spells in Kashmir. Springs are our lifeline as climate change has spread its tentacles in the Valley,” Wangnoo said.
