Srinagar, Apr 19: SKUAST-K Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre conducted a brainstorming session “Women Agri-Entrepreneurship” at the main campus Shalimar.

The Programme was conducted to sensitize the young women folk of J&K UT towards Innovation and Entrepreneurship and to bring a positive change in the ecosystem of startups in Jammu and Kashmir.

The special guest of the event was the founder of DRB Foods, Dinika Bhatia, founder of a Rs 100 crore worth company and an angel investor, who delivered an insightful session on Women Entrepreneurship. She emphasised the need to empower women in the business world and actively promote women's entrepreneurship.

During the session, Bhatia shared her journey; and highlighted the obstacles she faced as a woman entrepreneur and the strategies she adopted to overcome them. Her valuable insights and experiences inspired and motivated aspiring innovators and provided them with practical advice on starting and growing their own ventures. Later the young innovators interacted with her and shared their wonderful ideas and Business Plans.

Prof. Azmat A. Khan, Director SKIIE and OSD to Vice chancellor, SKUAST-K also graced the occasion to motivate the young minds by his practical experience and stressed upon participants to scale up their startup ventures to earn national and international brand equity.

Later, the Team met Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K Prof. Nazir A Ganai and apprised him of the brainstorming session and the positive interaction between  Dhinika and Innovators. He congratulated the Team SKUAST-K Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship centre for organising such a need of an hour programme.
