SKUAST-K's Faculty of Fisheries celebrates graduation day

Srinagar, Oct 11: The Faculty of Fisheries, Rangil celebrated its graduation day for the 2024 BFSc pass-out students with great enthusiasm and pride today.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including  Vice-Chancellor SKUAST Kashmir Prof (Dr) Nazir Ahmad Ganai as the Chief Guest, and Deputy Commissioner, District Ganderbal Shyambir Singh, who attended as the Guest of Honour.

Other notable attendees included Director Education SKUAST-K Prof (Dr) Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi, Dean Students Welfare Prof. (Dr) Neelofar Banday, Dean Faculty of Fisheries Prof (Dr) Farooz Ahmad Bhat, as well as all Heads of Divisions, faculty members, officers of Faculty of Fisheries and the graduating students.

Dean Faculty of Fisheries, Prof (Dr) Farooz Ahmad Bhat delivered a warm welcome to the dignitaries and spoke about the vital role of the fisheries sector. Director Education Prof. (Dr.) Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi stressed the importance of quality education in fisheries science and encouraged the students to use their skills for the betterment of society and the nation. Deputy Commissioner Shyambir Singh congratulated the students and promised full support for the development of the SKUAST-K Rangil campus. He also acknowledged the university's excellence in producing top talent, especially in fisheries science.
