SKUAST-K wraps up entrepreneurship training programmes at GWC Nawa Kadal
Srinagar, Jan 15: The School of Agricultural Economics and Horti-Business Management (SAE&HBM) at SKUAST-K, Shalimar, and the Government College for Women (GWC) Nawakadal, Srinagar, celebrated the successful conclusion of 12 Entrepreneurship Development Programmes.
The valedictory session, held at GWC Nawakadal, featured esteemed guests, including the Chief Guest, Professor MF Mir, Principal of the Government College for Women Nawakadal, and Guest of Honour, Dr SH Baba, Head of SAE & HBM.
Dr Omar Fayaz Khan, Programme Coordinator, provided an insightful overview of the 12 training programmes, emphasising key learnings and their impact on the participants. The session included felicitations for dignitaries, resource persons, and student participants, acknowledging their valuable contributions.
Dr SH Baba, in his address, underscored the significance of entrepreneurial initiatives, particularly in agriculture. He lauded the collaborative efforts between SKUAST-K and the Women’s College, urging more such initiatives to empower budding entrepreneurs.
Professor MF Mir commended both institutions for organizing impactful training programmes. He stressed the importance of women's empowerment through entrepreneurship and encouraged aspiring female entrepreneurs to explore new ventures. Professor Mir emphasised the need to leverage institutional resources for the benefit of students.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Zuhaib Bazaz, recognising the collective efforts that made the Entrepreneurship Development Programmes a success.
