Srinagar, Oct 10: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) is set to host a prestigious international conference titled "AgriTech Intelligence and Beyond: Cutting Edge Innovations in Agriculture and Allied Sciences" (AI-CIAS-2024) from October 15-17. The event will take place at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Shuhama, in a hybrid format.

Over 500 participants from around the world are expected to attend this three-day conference, which will bring together scholars from medical, agricultural, veterinary, and aquaculture sciences to share expertise and engage in interdisciplinary dialogue. The Division of Veterinary Biochemistry, FVSc & AH, SKUAST-K is organising the event in collaboration with the Agriculture Forum for Technical Education of Farming Society (AFTEFS).

Notably, the conference has received accreditation from the JK Medical Council, offering 12 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for participants from the medical fraternity.

Keynote speakers from the USA, UAE, Uzbekistan, and Sri Lanka will highlight the international scope of the conference. The event will feature various technical sessions covering the conference theme comprehensively, as well as a joint symposium aimed at converging diverse specializations to address key issues.

AI-CIAS-2024 aims to provide a platform for participants to forge collaborative networks with professionals working on different aspects of technology in agriculture and allied fields. The conference's primary goal is to sensitize stakeholders on leveraging modern technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), in agri-allied sectors.

SKUAST-K has been a pioneer in implementing technology in agriculture, having established a state-of-the-art AI & ML centre at its Shalimar campus, a first among State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) in India.

The faculty and organisers are enthusiastic about what promises to be a significant event showcasing advancements in agricultural science and technology.
