SKUAST-K student qualifies CAT

Srinagar, Mar 26: In a remarkable achievement for Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir (SKUAST-K), a student from the Faculty of Agriculture, Wadura, has qualified the Common Admission Test (CAT)-2025, securing multiple offers from India’s top management institutions.

A statement of SKUAST-K issued here said that Sandra B, a final-year student of BSc Agriculture, has demonstrated outstanding academic prowess, by securing her position as a top-performing candidate paving her way to some of the most prestigious business schools in the country.

The CAT, conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), is a highly competitive examination for admissions into elite management programmes across India.

Following her exceptional performance, Sandra B has received admission offers from 10 IIMs, 12 IIM-CAP institutes, and four PhD opportunities from IIM Amritsar, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Bodhgaya.

In addition, she has been offered admission at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee.

“The Career Counselling and Placement Centre (CCPC) of the Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-K, Wadura, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai, has played a crucial role in mentoring and guiding students toward academic and professional excellence,” the SKAST-K statement said.

It said that the university’s commitment to career guidance and student empowerment continues to yield exceptional results, as demonstrated by Sandra B’s success.

Dean and Chairman of CCPC, Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-K, Prof Shakeel Ahmad Mir extended his heartfelt congratulations to Sandra B, praising her dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence. “We are immensely proud of Sandra’s achievement.
