SKUAST-K launches MSME-sponsored agricultural entrepreneurship training programmes
Srinagar, Oct 18: The Division of Agriculture Extension & Communication at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), has inaugurated four comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship and skill development in the agricultural sector.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), these programmes are designed to foster innovation and economic growth in rural communities.
Dr Quadri Javed Ahmad Peer, the program coordinator, opened the inaugural session with an overview of the initiatives. He highlighted a one-week program on "Entrepreneurial Activities and Empowerment of Rural Women through Processing and Value Addition of Agriculture and Horticulture Produce." Dr. Peer also announced upcoming one-day workshops on "Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Rural Youth," scheduled for November 10, 13, 18, 24, and 29.
