SKIMS to implement QR code payment system across all counters
Srinagar, Mar 24: Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) has announced plans to introduce a QR code payment system at all payment counters, following directives from the Secretary of Health & Medical Education. The move aims to provide quicker payment facilities for patients across the hospital's network.
According to the Medical Superintendent of SKIMS, the hospital currently offers online payment with QR code scanning at one counter in the OPD service area, along with a scan-and-share facility. However, efforts are underway to implement the QR code system at each payment counter to enhance patient care services.
"We have initiated the process with all stakeholders to enable QR code payment options on every counter," stated the Medical Superintendent. "This facility will be made available to patients soon, aligning with our commitment to improving the overall patient experience."
In addition to the upcoming QR code system, SKIMS has already deployed Point of Sale (POS) machines at all cash counters in the OPD and pharmacy areas, further streamlining payment processes for patients.
