SKIMS Medical College organises Gynae Endocon-II workshop

Srinagar, Nov 5: The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the SKIMS Medical College and Hospital Bemina hosted a Gynae-Endocon-II-2023 workshop on recent advances in laparoscopic gynecology.

The event featured prominent guests and scientists in the field of gynecological laparoscopy and endoscopy.

The conference was graced by Principal JVC Prof. Irfan Robbani along with Prof. Rifat Ara who was guest of honour at the occasion.

Internationally renowned figure in minimally invasive gynecological surgery Dr. Shashank Shekharwas the guest faculty. Valuable insights and expertise for updating skills and management of difficult cases including advanced endometriosis were provided during the event.

The central theme of Gynae-Endocon II was perative workshop aimed at providing a platform for healthcare professionals to engage in practical demonstrations in the field of gynecological endoscopy.

The Principal, Prof. Irfan Robbani as patron of the conference emphasized the significance of holding such events for upgrading skills and instituting advanced techniques in improving women's health. He expressed his pleasure for conducting such advanced procedures showcasing remarkable progress in the field.

The principal assured that the department would be equipped with modern equipment to support their work and further advancements in the field.

The conference received enthusiastic participation from the departments of surgery and gynecology of GMC Srinagar, Lal Ded Hospital, Maternity Hospital SKIMS and other GMCs.

Prof. Mehbooba Beg HoD was the organising chair. Dr. Anjum Malik and Dr. Syed Naseer, Associate Professors played a crucial role in organising the event.
