Srinagar, Mar 8: With the Khelo India Winter Games 2025 set to kick off in Gulmarg from March today, health authorities in Kashmir are ramping up preparations to ensure seamless medical support for the event.

As per an official press statement, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Jehangir Bakshi, and SKIMS Medical College Bemina Principal, Dr. Fazl Q. Parray, chaired a crucial meeting on Saturday to finalise healthcare arrangements, including emergency response, specialist availability, and logistical readiness.

The round-the-clock availability of specialists, along with the necessary human resources, logistics, and equipment, during the duration of the games, was thoroughly discussed and deliberated. The medical arrangements were meticulously planned to ensure that all health-related needs of participants, officials, and spectators are adequately addressed.

With the event scheduled to take place at Gulmarg from March 9th, the mega winter sporting carnival will culminate on 12th March 2025.

On this occasion, it was further emphasised that the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, and SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, will ensure effective coordination and collaboration to provide comprehensive healthcare services, not only during the event but also in the future.
