Srinagar, May 21:   Massive rush of people was witnessed in Srinagar's commercial hub Lal Chowk on Tuesday as the crew of Singham Again led by its director Rohit Shetty shot some action scenes near iconic Ghanta Ghar.

On the fourth day of their schedule in Srinagar, the film crew shot some action-packed scenes in Lal Chowk with noted actor Ajay Devgn who is playing a lead role in the movie along with Jackie Shroff. The presence of the film crew drew a huge crowd of people who watched the actors while shooting.

Sources said that the film crew has completed the schedule of shooting in Srinagar and now the team will move to the famous tourist destination Sonamarg in Ganderbal district for shooting. They said that the actor Jackie Shroff has left for Mumbai after completing his schedule while Ajay Devgn will stay for further shooting.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, ‘Singham Again’ is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, it is the third installment of Rohit Shetty's popular cop franchise. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh and Jackie Shroff. Arjun Kapoor wil be seen essaying the villain in this entertainer. 'Singham Again' is set for a theatrical release during the weekend of Independence Day 2024. Earlier, Rohit Shetty directed Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Singham’ which was released in 2011, while ‘Singham Returns’ hit the silver screens in 2014 and proved blockbusters.

Meanwhile, while shooting for the movie 'Singham Again' in Kashmir, renowned Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the J&K Government for their unwavering support to the film industry professionals who visit the UT for shooting movies and other projects.

“The people here are incredibly helpful and kind, and the administration is very supportive,' Jackie Shroff said, praising the warm hospitality and seamless cooperation he received during his stay in Kashmir “The way this place is beautiful; the same way your people are beautiful. It was a lot of fun. You have handled so much. And film support, police support, army support, people’s support, everyone’s support. And it was nice to see so many tourists. Everyone enjoyed. The people here also enjoyed it. We enjoyed it the most. We love you very much,” he added.

Sunil Rodrigues, a renowned action director in both Bollywood and Hollywood, feels honoured to be in Kashmir to shoot his latest movie, Singham Again. 'I've had the pleasure of shooting here multiple times, and each experience has been truly unforgettable,' he says. 'The local administration and residents have always been incredibly supportive and helpful, making our filming experience seamless and enjoyable.
