Sikh leader extends support to Muzaffar Baig
Baramulla, Sep 30: A Sikh leader, Amanjeet Singh, has extended his community's support to former Deputy Chief Minister and independent candidate in Baramulla assembly constituency Muzaffar Hussain Baig. ,
Addressing a press conference in Baramulla, Singh said that Baig played a pivotal role during his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, particularly noting the proposal of 35 employment opportunities specifically for the Sikh community, reports KNO.
He praised the former minister's efforts in uplifting the region, stating whatever Baramulla has witnessed in developmental terms, it was Muzafar Baig's vision and work.
Singh also recognised the efforts of Safina Baig, Muzaffar Baig’s wife and former District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson of Baramulla, for fulfilling the expectations of Sikh community as well as the broader population of Baramulla.
“A leader must prove their credibility and Muzafar Baig has done so. His strong connection with the community over the years has led us to extend our full support to him in this election,” Singh added.
