Sikh community in & outside India stands with govt against terrorism: Sikh United Front J&K
Jammu, May 09: Sikh United Front J&K on Friday said that the community living inside or outside the country stands with the government against terrorism. The forum expressed its support to the valour and determination of Indian Defence Forces personnel and lauded their action against Pakistan for its terror activities.
While addressing a presser, Chairman SUF J&K S Sudershan Singh Wazir along with other Sikh leaders said that all sikhs located anywhere in India and abroad stand with the Government of India in support of action against terrorism.
He said Sikhs fully support the valour and determination of Indian Defense Forces and commended the action initiated against Pakistan for its terror activities, which Pakistan has been sponsoring all along in Kashmir and other places. He said the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam has prompted India to give a befitting reply to Pakistan and its terrorist.
Wazir strongly condemned the attack on Dera Nanagali Sahib Poonch and other religious places like Masjid, Temple etc in Nowshera and other places in Punjab and warned Pakistan that Sikhs all over the world will not tolerate any attack on any religious places. He further said that Sikhs have the history of avenging the desecration of their religious places, therefore Pakistan is warned not to senselessly shell the civilian areas and must follow the ethics of a conflict.
He congratulated the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Government and all State Governments, besides all political parties irrespective of their ideology for standing with Government of India in this hour of reckoning.
He appealed to people to remain united and maintain secular tradition of the country and support the government and the armed forces in their efforts to save the dignity, honour and human lives of the country.
Wazir further appealed to Government of India especially PM Narendra Modi to take steps towards liberating POK which is held by Pakistan illegally. He further said that the displaced person from POK and the whole country shall rejoice the implementation of the commitment made in the Parliament through a unanimous resolution to get POK with Kashmir and India.
