Signia launches Interactive Hearing Care Store in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 26: Signia, a leading brand under WS Audiology, today opened its 10th 'Brilliant Sound Galaxy' (BSG) store in Srinagar.

This innovative concept store allows consumers to self-screen their hearing, experience live demonstrations of hearing aids, and make informed decisions about their hearing health.

Padmashree Dr. Anuradha Paudwal inaugurated the store, with Avinash Pawar, CEO & MD of WS Audiology India, in attendance. The event included a charitable distribution of hearing aids to underprivileged children.

Global hearing loss affects an estimated 1.6 billion people, with 430 million experiencing severe difficulties. The World Health Organization projects these numbers to rise to 2.5 billion by 2050. In India, approximately 6.3% of the population suffers from hearing loss requiring intervention.

Dr Paudwal emphasised the importance of connecting people through sound, while Pawar highlighted the stigma associated with hearing loss and the need for awareness. He stated, "With BSG, we aim to provide an inclusive experience that reframes assumptions about hearing aids and empowers people to take action."

Hearing Help Pvt Ltd will operate the Srinagar BSG store. John Zargar, Managing Director, said the initiative would raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide comprehensive hearing care solutions across major districts of J&K and Delhi NCR.
