Siddique Colony residents decry lack of drainage system

Srinagar, June 19: Residents of Siddique Colony, Daggakadal area of Lal Bazar have expressed resentment over the failure of authorities to construct drainage system in the locality.

A delegation from the area said that the lack of a drainage system causes waterlogging in the locality. “During rains, we face immense problems to venture out due to waterlogging in the absence of drains. It is ironic that while drains have been constructed in adjoining colonies, however, our area has been neglected,” they said.

They appealed to concerned authorities to look into the matter and construct a drainage system in the locality at the earliest.
