Siblings, discharged from Jammu hospitals, shifted to GMC Rajouri separation facility
Rajouri, Jan 28: Three real sisters from Badhaal village, who were discharged from Jammu hospitals on January 27, following a remarkable recovery, were shifted to a separation facility established in Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri on Tuesday.
“The sisters are completely fine and out of danger. They have been discharged from GMC Jammu only after complete recovery,” Principal GMC Rajouri Dr A S Bhatia said, adding, “They have been kept in the separation facility of GMC Rajouri, with their parents.” Tazeem Akhter (23), Khalida Begum (18) and Nazia Kouser (16), daughters of Bagh Hussain, were airlifted in an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter from Rajouri to Jammu six days ago after the sibling-trio fell critically ill.
Siblings, residents of Badhaal village where seventeen deaths took place due to some mysterious illness during the last seven weeks, had developed similar symptoms on January 22. Following it, they were brought to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri where the condition of one of the girls was declared as “critical”.
The authorities later shifted the trio to Jammu in an IAF helicopter. They were admitted to SMGS hospital Jammu and GMC Jammu. One of them was also put on a ventilator after her situation deteriorated.
The siblings were found stable and completely out of danger during examination and analysis by a team of doctors conducted on Monday morning after which they were discharged from Jammu hospitals.
