Srinagar, Nov 6: The State Investigation Agency (SIA), Kashmir, presented a chargesheet against three accused persons in a terror funding case registered at Police Station CIK/SIA Kashmir.

Officials identified the accused individuals as Danish Ahmad Koul and Faizan Ishtiyaq Kharadi, both residents of Srinagar.
“They were found involved in raising funds from Saudi Arabia and Muscat, Oman, as part of a criminal conspiracy hatched with Pakistan-based terror handler Muhammad Farooq Abdul Aziz. The funds so raised were pumped to support terrorist activities in J&K,” officials said.

They said that after strenuous investigation, the SIA Kashmir gathered vital evidence against the accused persons and filed the chargesheet after the allegations were established against them in case FIR No 09/2021 under Sections 13, 17, 18, 20, 38, 39, and 40 of the UA(P)A of Police Station CIK/SIA Kashmir and a supplementary chargesheet was presented before the Designated Court Srinagar.
“The charge sheet against one more accused Hamaad Farooq Tramboo has already been presented before the court and he is presently facing trial,” the officials said.

“During the investigation conducted by SIA Kashmir it was established that funds raised from foreign soil were subsequently laundered through banking channels and money exchange and further deposited in the bank accounts of the family members of the killed and active terrorists for sustenance of terrorism and secessionism and for furthering unlawful terrorist activities in J&K,” they said. “The money was chiefly channelised through the accounts of an Over Ground Worker Hamaad Farooq Tramboo.”
