SIA attaches property of absconding terrorist in Rajouri
Srinagar, May 3: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Jammu on Friday attached the property of an absconding terrorist in Rajouri.
A statement of SIA Jammu issued here said that it attached the property of Abdul Hameed Khan, son of Muhammad Sarwar Khan of Panjgrain, Rajouri under Section 33 of UA(P) Act.
The statement said that FIR No 05/2021 under Sections 13, 17, 18, 20, 38, and 39 of the UA(P)A, Section 3 of the Official Secret Act, and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) of Police Station JIC and SIA Jammu was registered against him along with other associates Muhammad Rafiq Khan, son of Muhammad Qayoom of Panjgrain Rajouri and Gurpal Singh, son of Hari Singh of City Sunam Sangrur, Punjab.
Khan had exfiltrated to Pakistan for arms training along with other youth of district Rajouri in the year 1992 and presently he is operating from Pakistan under the Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit.
He is also instrumental in several terrorist attacks and activities in district Rajouri, the statement said.
It said that he is responsible for activating the sleeper cells and attracting the youth to join the LeT outfit through Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of LeT with the motive of waging a war against India.
The statement said that in this case, charges were framed against all the accused persons involved in the case including Abdul Hameed Khan.
It said that the SIA Jammu had succeeded in attaching the immovable property amounting to lakhs of rupees under Khasra No 167 situated at village Panjgrain in Rajouri.
The property has been identified by local revenue staff and found recorded in Khan’s name, the statement said.
It said that the land under Khasra No 167 has been attached by SIA Jammu under Section 33 UA(P) Act in compliance with the orders of the designated court.
