JDA had demolished around a dozen shops in its demolition drive on Wednesday. This drive had created uproar as affected families alleged that demolition was resorted without serving them with prior notices. “They snatched our means of livelihood in a jiffy,” affected families had alleged.

BJP, PDP and Apni Party leaders, while condemning the action, demanded immediate relief for affected members of the displaced community.
