Shopian Table Tennis Championship concludes

Srinagar, Nov 4: The Shopian District Table Tennis Association organised the Shopian District Table Tennis Championship for Men and Women in different categories. A total of 53 table tennis players from the district participated in the championship.

The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. Zahoor Ahmad (Convener Sports IM GDC Shopian), Prof. Shiraz Gull Sheikh, Mr. Riyaz Ali, and Dr. Bilal Ahad. In the junior boys category, Subzar Hassan defeated Sheran Manzoor. In the sub-junior category, Firdouse Ahmad defeated Muheeb Rafiq. In the girls' junior category, Arshika Sarwar defeated Atiya Khan. In the sub-junior category, Ayman defeated Simran Jan. In the men's category, Danish Hamid defeated Aasif Ahmad, and Aamir Hamid defeated Mohasin Shafi. In the senior men's category, Kaiser defeated Arbaz Amin, and in the last event of the championship, Zafeerah Zahoor defeated Arjuman.
