Shooting stones, landslides keep Srinagar-Jammu National Highway closed for tomorrow
Srinagar, April 29: Traffic police on Monday while advising people to avoid journey along the Srinagar-Jammu national highway said that the road will remain closed tomorrow amid heavy rains, shooting stones and landslides.
The only all-weather road connecting Kashmir to the outside world was closed last night.
"The NH-44 remains blocked due to landslides, mudslides, shooting stones at many places, heavy rainfall on along whole the whole highway," said traffic police in an official communique.
Only when the weather improves and the road is clear then shall people think of making the journey along the National Highway, said police.
Meanwhile, other major highways of Kashmir also remain blocked including, Mughal Road, Srinagar-Leh road, Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road.

Anyone undertaking the journey shall communicate with the concerned Traffic Control Units (TCUs) and confirm the status of the road on the following numbers:
