Shikara capsizes in Dal lake amid strong winds, family of four rescued safely

Srinagar, Apr 16: A family of four had a narrow escape after their shikara overturned in the interiors of Dal Lake on Wednesday.

Reports reaching news agency JKNS said the family was onboard a shikara when it capsized due to strong winds, causing all four to fall into the water.

Rescue teams from SDRF and other units acted swiftly, pulling all four out safely.

“All the individuals were rescued in time and are unharmed,” a rescue official confirmed.
