Shepherd killed in wild bear attack in south Kashmir's Kokernag

Anantnag, Sep 19: A 45-year-old shepherd was killed after being attacked by a wild bear in the Mathar forest area of Daksum in Kokernag, South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, on Friday morning.”

As per an official, the deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Chopan, son of Ghulam Rasool Chopan, resident of Tangpaw Sagam, Kokernag.

Body is being shifted to PHC Larnoo for medico-legal formalities, they said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KNC)
