Sheikh Sajjad Poonchi's death condoled

Poonch, Dec 13: Dabistan- e- Himala, a literary organisation in Rajouri, has expressed its grief over the demise of Sheikh Sajjad Poonchi, a eminent poet, literate, and social activist of the hilly border belt of Poonch.

According to a press release, his contributions to literature and his efforts in promoting social change will always be remembered.

On behalf of Dabistan- e- Himalathe representatives expressed heartfelt condolences on this great loss.

A condolence meeting was also held in Rajouri which was attended by socio-literary personalities including Farooq Muztar, Ahmed Shanas, Khurshid Bismil, Prof Musaraf Shah, Liaqat Jafri, Syed M Azam Shah, Rashid Qamar, Dr M K Waqar, Dr M Saleem Wani, M Muslim Wani, Dr Abdul Haq Naemi and many others who all came together to mourn his demise .
