Sheikh Feroz calls for transparent KCCI elections

Srinagar, Oct 2: Sheikh Feroz, contesting candidate for the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Executive Committee, has urged members of the Chamber to vote in favour of transparency and a strong opposition.

In his message, Feroz wrote: “My sincere appeal to all esteemed members of KCC&I: Please cast your vote in favour of transparency and a robust opposition. My aspiration is to serve with unwavering integrity, not to assume office through unscrupulous means, and to fortify the Chamber’s democratic principles for the betterment of the Business Community."

He alleged that the Election Commission of KCCI has not fully complied with directives issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar regarding the scrutiny of voter lists.

The Executive Committee elections, originally scheduled for September 22, were deferred and have now been rescheduled to October 6, 2025. Feroz called for strict adherence to procedures to ensure a fair and transparent election process.
