Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals marks 10 years in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 22: Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals, a leading name in eye care across North and Eastern India, marked a decade of service in Kashmir by unveiling its latest technologies in advanced ophthalmic treatment.

Dr Samir Sud, Co-founder and Director, highlighted the hospital’s commitment to making cutting-edge eye technologies accessible in the valley. He introduced several innovations, including Extended Depth of Focus (EDOF) lenses, designed for cataract patients to provide uninterrupted high-quality vision across near, intermediate, and distance ranges, reducing dependence on glasses.

The hospital also announced Myopia Control Glasses for children, which can slow the progression of short-sightedness by up to 75%. With rising screen time contributing to increasing myopia cases, these glasses aim to protect children from high myopia and related future eye diseases.

Other advanced services showcased include retina care for diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and age-related macular degeneration; oculoplasty and eye cancer management; and modern glaucoma management protocols to detect and control the “silent thief of sight.”
