Shameema Firdous seeks arrangements for Urs of Hazrat Shah Niyamatullah Qadri (RA)

Srinagar, Sep 19: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Women’s Wing State President and MLA Habba Kadal Adv. Shameema Firdous Friday called on the authorities to ensure proper arrangements and adequate facilities at the shrine of Hazrat Shah Niyamatullah Qadri (RA) in light of the upcoming annual Urs Mubarak.

In a statement issued today, Firdous underscored the immense spiritual and historical significance of the shrine, which remains a revered place of worship for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

She emphasized that Hazrat Shah Niyamatullah Qadri (RA) is a symbol of peace, spirituality, and unity, and that the arrangements at the shrine must reflect the sanctity of this sacred site.

"Thousands of devotees, both local and from outside the region, visit the shrine each year, especially during the Urs Mubarak. It is our collective responsibility to provide them with the best possible facilities. With the increased footfall during the Urs, it becomes essential for the district administration to step up its efforts. Adequate arrangements for crowd management, sanitation, drinking water, and security are crucial to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all visitors," she said.
