Shamasabad residents wait for streetlight repairs for 8 years

We, the residents of Shamasabad, Sector-4, Bemina, request the installation of the pending streetlights in our area.

The existing streetlights were installed over a decade ago and have been non-functional for the past eight years. Despite contacting the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) authorities multiple times, and though the paperwork for the installation of the new streetlights has been completed, the streetlights have not been installed so far.

Additionally, we would like to address the issue of unwanted growth of grass along the roadside wall in our locality.

Moreover, there has been no garbage collection vehicle in our area for some time.

The current garbage collector uses a handcart, which fills up after servicing only four to five houses, causing delays in garbage collection. We urge the authorities to take prompt action to resolve these issues.
