Shaher-e-Khaas traders release wall calendar

Srinagar, Jan 11: Traders of Shaher-e-Khaas today released a wall calendar for 2025, especially highlighting historic places and the culture of Srinagar.

The calendar was released by President Shaher-e-Khaas Traders Alliance president Nazir Ahmad Shah. The calendar has photographs of Srinagar’s historic places, including Jamia Masjid, Old Zaina Kadal Bridge, Budshah’s Tomb, beside iconic Dal Lake and Houseboats.

The main feature of the calendar is Iftar and Sehri timings for the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan. The calendar also has information about gazetted holidays.

On the occasion, Shah said the calendar is a gift from the traders of Downtown. “The main objective behind the calendar is that it highlights historical places of Srinagar, especially Downtown. We have also carried photographs of our dried vegetables and Samovaor, which are part of Srinagar’s rich culture,” Shah said. “We want tourists to know about historical places and culture.  We will provide free copies of the calendars to anyone, including individuals, corporations, and tourists.
