Shabir Shah stable, social media rumours untrue: PRO Delhi Prisons 

New Delhi, June 27: The Delhi Prisons Department has dismissed rumours circulating on social media regarding the health of incarcerated separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, stating that he is receiving proper medical care and is currently stable.

In a press release issued by the Office of the Director General (Prisons), authorities clarified that Shah, who is lodged in Tihar Jail, was referred to Safdarjung Hospital on June 26 for an OPD consultation after he complained of lower urinary tract symptoms. He was subsequently admitted for further evaluation.

“All his reports have been found to be normal and appropriate medical treatment is being provided to him at Safdarjung Hospital,” said Arvind Kumar, Public Relations Officer, Delhi Prisons.
