Officials informed that the highway has not been fully restored at several critical points, including Tharad in Udhampur district, and other vulnerable stretches. Traffic movement remained slow due to single-lane conditions at Tharad, between Nashri and Dalwass, and between Maroog and Kishtwari Pattar in Ramban district.

Despite the slow movement, hundreds of apple-laden trucks managed to cross the Chenani-Nashri tunnel and the landslide-hit stretch at Tharad. Traffic officials monitoring the Ramban sector said that light and medium passenger vehicles from Jammu also crossed the Banihal-Qazigund tunnel till late evening. Vehicles bound for Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts were allowed with fixed cut-off timings.
