Several Doda villages getting road connectivity: Dr Jitendra Singh
Jammu, Nov 11: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today said that several remote villages of Doda district are getting road connectivity for the first time since Independence under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
He termed as a milestone moment for locals the announcement of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd regarding a new road project for Doda district.
The approved project is restoration and repair of Dranga - Goha - Khellani road (3.5 meter wide) by way of construction and installation of road safety items. “Under PM Narendra Modi remote Doda villages are etting road connectivity first time since independence,” Dr Jitendra Singh said. He mentioned about this new NHIDCL projects and said that such other projects connect hilly Marmat belt, including his native village Kalota, where his forefathers never got to see a motor vehicle in lifetime.
Referring to this project, MLA Doda West, Shakti Raj Parihar expressed his gratitude to Dr Jitendra Singh. He said that this road project will bring immense relief to the communities of Khellani and many other areas. “ The expansion and enhancement of the Dranga-Goha-Khellani road has received sanction, with the tender process initiated in record time,” said.
He further mentioned that this essential project will bring immense relief to the communities of Khellani, Marmat, Goha, and other localities.
