14 injured in passenger vehicle accident in J&K’s Poonch

Poonch, Mar 21: Fourteen passengers were injured in a road accident when a vehicle lost control and crashed near Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources said.

According to officials, the vehicle (bearing registration number JK12 1451) was traveling from Surankote to Poonch when it met with an accident upon reaching the bridge. The vehicle reportedly hit the edge of the bridge, resulting in injuries to seven passengers.

Local residents and police personnel rushed to the spot and moved the injured to the District Hospital Poonch, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Hospital authorities confirmed that all the injured individuals are out of danger.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch, Dr Nusrat ul Nisa confirmed injuries to 14 passengers.
