Senior U.S. tourist dies in Sonamarg

Srinagar, Oct 09: A tourist from the United States of America collapsed at the hotel he was staying in Sonamarg in Kashmir's Ganderbal district yesterday late evening, reports said.

Quoting an official, news agency NVI reported that the 84-year-old was shifted by the hotel staff to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Sonamarg, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The official identified the deceased tourist as Ranma Allauddin Rajabali, a resident of Dallas Texas, United States.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, the official said.
