Senior Supreme Court advocate Kapil Sibal demands restoration of J-K's statehood
Srinagar, Oct 17: Senior Supreme Court advocate Kapil Sibal Thursday demanded the restoration of statehood to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sibal, who advocated for the Article-370 to be reinstated when the matter was in court said, "it was a constitutional misdemeanour to have reduced the state of J&K to a Union Territory."
"It was wrong for the Supreme Court not to have decided that issue," Sibal wrote on his official X-handle.
This is the constitutional right of the people of J&K, and it's time to restore statehood, the senior advocate wrote.
