Seminar on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legacy organised at GDC Sopore

Sopore, Sep 11: Sopore Police, in collaboration with Government Degree College Sopore, organised a seminar to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The theme of the seminar was “Formation of India’s Bureaucracy, Role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and His Vision of India.”

Speakers highlighted Patel’s historic role in unifying more than 560 princely states, safeguarding India’s territorial integrity, and shaping a strong, impartial, and professional bureaucracy—widely known as the “Steel Frame of India.”His vision of a united, self-reliant nation, with bureaucracy serving as a bridge between the government and the people, was emphasised throughout the seminar.

The event was attended by SSP Sopore Iftkhar Talib , ADC Sopore Shabir Raina, Principal GDC Sopore, officers from the police department, faculty members, and students of the college.

The seminar concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where participants were felicitated for their contributions. The event reflected Sopore Police’s commitment to promoting awareness, unity, and nation-building.
