Srinagar, Dec 6: With the aim to create awareness among students about the importance of preserving nature and to encourage them to take small steps towards a sustainable future, a seminar on “Understanding Your Prakriti: Ayurveda’s Guide to Holistic Wellness” was held at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh.

Dr Ragesh, Assoc Professor, Dept of Toxicology; Dr. Mukta Bawa, Assoc. Professor, Dept of Physiology; Dr. Pranay, Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh interacted with Aryans students.

Dr Mukta while addressing said that understanding "your Prakriti is like having an owner's manual for your body. It reveals your strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies towards imbalances."

Dr Ragesh said that knowing "your Prakriti helps you identify potential imbalances before they manifest as health problems. It's like understanding your car's engine – preventive maintenance based on your unique design keeps you running smoothly."

Dr Pranay elaborated thar Prakriti is a concept in Ayurveda that refers to an individual's natural state, which is determined by their genetic constitution. It is based on the idea that a person's Prakriti is established at the moment of conception and is fixed throughout their life. For thousands of years, the Indian subcontinent has practiced the medicinal field known as Ayurveda. Ayurveda's central idea is the Tridosha, a framework for understanding health and illness, she added.
