Srinagar, Sep 26: The Rajbhasha Cell of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar organised a seminar on “Rozgaar Ke Kshetra Mein Hindi” on Wednesday as part of the ongoing Hindi Pakhwada celebrations.

Prakash Chandra Mishra, Hindi Officer at MNNIT Allahabad, led the session, highlighting the role of Hindi in enhancing accessibility, inclusivity and efficiency in official and professional work.

The workshop, held online, was primarily attended by non-teaching ministerial staff and aimed to sensitise employees to the importance of using Hindi in administrative tasks.

Director Prof Binod Kumar Kanaujia praised the efforts of the Rajbhasha Cell and reaffirmed the administration’s support for such initiatives. Registrar Prof Atikur Rehman highlighted the role of Hindi in promoting effective communication and cultural cohesion within government institutions and encouraged active staff participation in related programmes.

Mohammad Iqbal Dar, Assistant Registrar (Academics) and Hindi Teaching & Training Supervisor, stressed the need for practical workshops to build staff confidence in using Hindi for official work. Earlier, In-Charge Hindi Officer Dr R.P. Shukla briefed participants on the Rajbhasha Cell’s recent activities and achievements.

The seminar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, addressing practical queries on drafting official letters, note-taking, documentation, and overcoming hesitation in using Hindi. The session was coordinated by Hindi Anuvadak Dr Sabzar Gani, who delivered a vote of thanks to the resource person, participants, and organisers.
