Security forces recover, defuse mortar shell in Samba

Srinagar, Apr 02: A mortar shell was found and defused at Darui area in Samba district, an official said on Wednesday.

The official said that the explosive was found last evening, following which a bomb disposal squad was called to the site.

"After assessing the situation, and taking under consideration all necessary protocols, the explosive was defused in a controlled manner this morning," the official added. (KB)
