Security forces recover arms, ammunition in Taad Karnah

Kupwara, Jan 28: Security forces on Wednesday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) conducted in the Karnah sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

The officials said that the joint operation was carried out by Karnah Police in the Rati Tari forest area of Sector Taad, Karnah.

During the operation, security forces recovered arms, ammunition which includes 4 Chinese Pistols, 7 Pistol Magazines, 3 AK Magazines, 308 rounds of AK-47, and 1 Sniper Sight.

The officials have initiated further investigation to ascertain the source and intended use of the seized arms and ammunition.
