Security forces continue searches in Thanamandi areas

Rajouri, Sep 30: Security forces on Monday continued search operation in various areas of Thanamandi sub division including Manyal Gali and Azmatabad after terrorists and forces exchanged gunfire during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on Sunday evening.

The exchange of fire had occurred at Manyal Gali when a CASO was launched in this area over reports of suspicious movement.

A massive anti militancy operation was launched soon after this exchange and the operation continued for day two on Monday. Joint teams of army and police continued searches in areas of Manyal Gali, Azmatabad and adjoining villages.

There no immediate reports of any fresh tracking, sighting of militants or exchange of fire.
