Security forces conduct searches in Reasi, Poonch areas

Rajouri, July 28: Security forces on Sunday conducted search operations in different areas of Reasi and Poonch district.

Several villages were brought under the anti- terror operations. Joint teams of Indian Army, police and CAPF conducted the operations which were going on when last reports were received.

In Reasi, searches were conducted at villages of Pouni Police station area as well as in areas of Mahore sub division.

The searches were both speculative in nature as well as information specific ones.

Earlier, on Saturday, locals in Dadooa village of Reasi's Pouni saw some suspects moving towards forests after which they alerted forces and a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched that is still going on.

Similarly, in Poonch, a CASO was launched in Mangnar area near LoC.

Conducted jointly by Indian Army and J&K Police alongwith it's SoG, the area of Mangnar and adjoining villages were brought under search operation by forces.

This anti terror operation was launched on Sunday morning and was going on when last reports were received.
