Security, crime related scenario reviewed in Kishtwar
Ramban, Mar 21: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom reviewed crime and security scenario in Kishtwar.
He inspected lodgment centers established for additional troops coming for parliamentary elections.
Police sources said SSP Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom accompanied by DySP Headquarters Ishan Gupta visited Jawalapur to conduct a comprehensive review of the crime and security situation in the area.
During the inspections of police post Jawalapur and he issued necessary directions to the officers and officials in preparation for the upcoming Parliamentary Elections-2024.
Subsequently, SSP Kishtwar chaired a Police Public Meeting at Jawalapur which was attended by local residents, youth, and dignitaries of the area. Participants were given the opportunity to raise various issues, ranging from security concerns to civil administration matters.
The officers listened to their grievances attentively and assured them that police-related issues would be prioritised, while concerns related to civil administration would be promptly addressed by the concerned departments.
Emphasising the importance of community vigilance in combating drug addiction, alcoholism, and anti-national activities, SSP urged citizens to remain alert and report any suspicious behavior.
Following the PCPG meeting, SSP Kishtwar and his team conducted thorough inspections of CAPF accommodations and polling stations, lodgment centers in the area, ensuring readiness and security preparedness.
