Searches continue in Udhampur

Jammu, Aug 20: Massive search operation Tuesday continued for the second consecutive day in Cheel and adjoining areas of Duddu in Udhampur district to hunt down the hiding terrorists who managed to escape in forests after attacking CRPF-JKP joint patrolling party on August 19.

In the exchange of fire between terrorists and joint area domination patrolling parties of CRPF and JKP’s Special Operation Group, an Inspector of CRPF was killed in action on Monday.

To pay homage to its brave-heart, CRPF’s 187th Battalion held a wreath-laying ceremony at its headquarters in Battal Ballian. ADGP CRPF Amrit Mohan Prasad and other senior officers of JKP and army paid tributes to Inspector Kuldeep Kumar, who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range stated that a search operation was underway to track down the terrorists.
