Searches conducted in several villages of Rajouri, Poonch

Security forces on Sunday conducted searches in several villages of Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Searches  were also conducted in areas close to the Dehra Ki Gali forests where terrorists  had ambushed two army vehicles on  December 21 in which four army personnel lost their lives.

The searches are being conducted by forces jointly especially in sensitive areas that are located close to the LoC and considered as infiltration routes.

Officials told Greater Kashmir that as a heightened security measure and for better area domination, the security forces on Sunday conducted searches in many villages of twin districts. These searches, they said, were conducted by Army, Police and CRPF jointly and were going on when last reports were received. The searches in areas were in addition to a search operation of forces that is going on in areas of Dehre Ki Gali (DKG), Bufliyaz, Mastandara and others after  December 21 terror attack.
