Searches conducted in Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi areas

Rajouri, July 29: Search operations were conducted by security forces in many areas of Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi districts today.

Security apparatus in all these districts is on high alert keeping in view the prevailing situation and repeated terror acts that have taken place during last couple of months.

These operations were conducted by Jammu and Kashmir police, Special Operation Group (SoG) of Police, CRPF and Indian Army.

Meanwhile, security forces on Monday evening conducted an area domination exercise in areas of Rajouri town wherein services of Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and sniffer dogs were also utilised.

This area domination exercise was speculative in nature and aimed to upgrade the security apparatus in town, officials said.

They informed that teams of Jammu and Kashmir police, CRPF carried out this exercise in Rajouri main town, Bela bridge, Police lines colony and other areas.

Besides manual search by personnel of forces, officials added, the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and sniffer dog of army was also pressed into task for area domination and clearance.
